PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) is a semi-crystalline high-performance thermoplastic that operates reliably at continuous temperatures up to 250°C, a range where most standard engineering plastics deform or lose mechanical integrity. It combines this thermal stability with excellent mechanical strength, outstanding creep resistance and resistance to a broad spectrum of chemicals including acids, bases, hydrolysis and steam.
What separates PEEK from other high-performance plastics is its combination of properties in a single material, it is simultaneously strong, wear-resistant, chemically resistant, radiation-resistant and non-flammable.
PEEK is used in semiconductor systems, LCD and TFT manufacturing plants, fine machining and precision engineering, chemical processing plants, electroplating installations and as electrical insulating material.
Note: When the glass transition temperature of approximately 150°C is reached, changes in the physical properties of PEEK may occur. This should be considered during component design.
Reliable performance in high-temperature environments where standard plastics fail.
High tensile strength and stiffness maintained across a wide temperature range.
Suitable for sliding, friction and contact parts under demanding load conditions.
Maintains dimensional stability under sustained mechanical load at elevated temperatures.
High-Performance Engineering Plastics
Available in four standard formats: 1000×610 mm, 1250×1000 mm, 2000×1000 mm and 3000×1250 mm. Thicknesses from 5–60 mm in standard stock, up to 50 mm in larger formats.
Solid bars Ø 8–300 mm in 1000 mm and 3000 mm lengths. Full standard stock range available across natural and black grades.
Extensive range of OD/ID combinations available as made-to-order. Contact Plastix Factory for specific tube dimensions and wall thicknesses.
Custom cut to your exact dimensions from standard sheet or bar stock.
CNC-machined parts to your technical drawings and tolerance requirements, in standard and reinforced grades.
Components in semiconductor systems, LCD and TFT manufacturing equipment and wafer handling applications where chemical resistance, dimensional stability and purity are critical.
Structural and functional components in chemical processing and electroplating installations. PEEK's broad chemical resistance covers acids, bases, solvents and aggressive process media.
Used for precision machined components, fixtures and inserts where tight tolerances must be maintained at elevated temperatures and under sustained mechanical load.
Particularly the HPV grade, engineered for bearings, bushings, thrust washers and seals operating under high pressure, high velocity and demanding contact conditions.
PEEK's non-flammable classification and excellent dielectric properties make it suitable for electrical insulating components, carrier plates and housings in high-temperature electrical applications.
Applied in aerospace and high-performance mechanical engineering where lightweight, non-metallic structural parts must perform reliably across a wide temperature range.
