PEEK GF30 is a glass-fibre-reinforced grade of PEEK (Polyetheretherketone), engineered to increase rigidity and dimensional stability beyond that of unfilled PEEK. The 30% glass fibre content raises tensile modulus and reduces creep under sustained load, while preserving PEEK’s continuous operating temperature of up to 250°C and resistance to acids, bases, hydrolysis and steam.
Because glass fibre does not conduct electricity, PEEK GF30 retains strong dielectric properties, distinguishing it from carbon-fibre-reinforced grades such as PEEK CF30. This combination of stiffness and electrical insulation makes it well suited to structural components in electrical and precision engineering environments.
PEEK GF30 is used in precision engineering, electrical insulating components, semiconductor equipment and structural parts where dimensional stability under load and thermal cycling is critical.
Note: As with standard PEEK, the glass transition temperature of approximately 150°C should be considered during component design, as physical properties may shift beyond this point.
30% glass fibre reinforcement increases stiffness and load-bearing capacity compared to unfilled PEEK.
Reduced creep and thermal expansion for components that must hold tight tolerances over time.
Retains strong dielectric properties, unlike carbon-fibre-reinforced grades.
Reliable performance up to 250°C, with the same broad chemical resistance as standard PEEK.
