PVDF is a semi-crystalline fluoropolymer that bridges the gap between the extreme chemical resistance of fluoropolymers and the mechanical performance required for structural and semi-structural applications. Compared to PTFE, PVDF offers better mechanical strength, higher stiffness and greater dimensional stability, while retaining strong chemical resistance and low flammability.
PVDF maintains its properties across a wide range of aggressive chemical environments, including exposure to halogens, strong acids and aliphatic solvents. Its weatherability and UV resistance make it suitable for outdoor and construction applications, while its electrical properties and resistance to radiation make it a preferred material in semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.
PVDF is supplied in sheets and round bars in standard stock. It is used in chemical processing, semiconductor manufacturing, automotive components, construction, aerospace and wherever a fluoropolymer with better structural capability than PTFE is required.
Resistant to halogens, strong acids, aliphatic solvents and aggressive industrial media
Stable mechanical and chemical properties at continuous operating temperatures up to 170°C
Higher strength and stiffness than other fluoropolymers, suitable for semi-structural applications
Resistant to UV radiation, outdoor weathering and long-term environmental exposure
Stable dielectric properties across a wide temperature and frequency range
Inherently low flammability without requiring flame-retardant additives

CNC-machined parts to your technical drawings.
Pipe fittings, valve bodies, pump components and fluid handling parts in chemical plants where exposure to aggressive acids, halogens and solvents requires a material with both chemical resistance and structural integrity.
Components in semiconductor fabrication equipment, wafer processing and chemical distribution systems where purity, chemical resistance and dimensional stability are critical requirements.
Used in membrane housings, filter components and water filtration systems. PVDF's chemical resistance and mechanical stability make it a reliable choice for demanding filtration applications.
Applied as insulation material for wiring in industrial, automotive and aerospace applications where low flammability, flexibility and long-term electrical performance are required.
PVDF's UV resistance and weatherability make it suitable for architectural coatings, cladding components and outdoor structural parts that must maintain their properties over extended periods of environmental exposure.
Used for lightweight, chemically resistant components in aerospace and automotive applications where low flammability and long-term thermal and chemical stability are mandatory requirements.
