PEEK CF30 - Carbon Fibre Reinforced PEEK

PEEK CF30 is PEEK reinforced with 30% carbon fibre, delivering significantly enhanced stiffness, load-bearing capacity and dimensional stability while retaining PEEK’s continuous operating temperature of up to 250°C and broad chemical resistance. The material of choice for structural and precision components where standard PEEK does not provide sufficient rigidity.

PEEK CF30 - Carbon Fibre Reinforced PEEK

PEEK CF30 is a carbon-fibre-reinforced grade of PEEK, engineered for applications that demand higher stiffness and load-bearing capacity than unfilled PEEK can provide. The 30% carbon fibre content increases tensile modulus and compressive strength while reducing thermal expansion, without compromising PEEK’s continuous operating temperature of up to 250°C or its resistance to acids, bases, hydrolysis and steam.

The carbon fibre reinforcement also improves electrical conductivity and further increases wear resistance under sliding and rotating contact, making PEEK CF30 well suited to structural, tribological and precision-engineered components operating under sustained mechanical load.

PEEK CF30 is used in aerospace structural components, precision engineering, semiconductor equipment, and mechanical parts subject to high stress and elevated temperature, wherever the stiffness of standard PEEK is insufficient.

Note: As with standard PEEK, the glass transition temperature of approximately 150°C should be considered during component design, as physical properties may shift beyond this point.

High Stiffness & Rigidity

30% carbon fibre content significantly increases tensile modulus for components under structural load.

Enhanced Dimensional Stability

Reduced thermal expansion and improved creep resistance compared to unfilled PEEK.

Retained Chemical & Thermal Resistance

Full PEEK-level resistance to chemicals, hydrolysis and steam up to 250°C continuous operating temperature.

Improved Wear Performance

Carbon fibre reinforcement further enhances resistance to friction and sliding wear.

Available Product Forms

PEEK CF30 is available in standard sheet and round bar formats, cut-to-size and as CNC-machined finished parts.

Sheets

Standard sheet formats available in a range of thicknesses, black colour. Contact Plastix Factory to confirm current stock dimensions.

Round Bars

Solid bars available across a standard diameter range in 1000 mm and 3000 mm lengths.

Cut-to-Size

Custom cut to your exact dimensions from standard sheet or bar stock.

Finished Parts

Typical Applications

PEEK CF30 is selected wherever high mechanical load, elevated temperature and dimensional stability must be combined in a single non-metallic component.

Aerospace & Structural Components

Lightweight, high-stiffness structural parts replacing metal in weight-sensitive assemblies.

Precision Engineering & Fixtures

Machined components and fixtures that must hold tight tolerances under mechanical load and thermal cycling.

Semiconductor Equipment

Structural and functional parts in wafer handling and process equipment requiring rigidity and chemical resistance.

Bearings & Wear Components
