PEEK GF30 - Glass Fibre Reinforced PEEK

PEEK GF30 is PEEK reinforced with 30% glass fibre, providing enhanced rigidity and dimensional stability while retaining PEEK’s continuous operating temperature of up to 250°C and broad chemical resistance. Unlike carbon-fibre-reinforced grades, PEEK GF30 remains electrically non-conductive, making it suitable for insulating and structural applications alike.

PEEK GF30 - Glass Fibre Reinforced PEEK

PEEK GF30 is a glass-fibre-reinforced grade of PEEK (Polyetheretherketone), engineered to increase rigidity and dimensional stability beyond that of unfilled PEEK. The 30% glass fibre content raises tensile modulus and reduces creep under sustained load, while preserving PEEK’s continuous operating temperature of up to 250°C and resistance to acids, bases, hydrolysis and steam.

Because glass fibre does not conduct electricity, PEEK GF30 retains strong dielectric properties, distinguishing it from carbon-fibre-reinforced grades such as PEEK CF30. This combination of stiffness and electrical insulation makes it well suited to structural components in electrical and precision engineering environments.

PEEK GF30 is used in precision engineering, electrical insulating components, semiconductor equipment and structural parts where dimensional stability under load and thermal cycling is critical.

Note: As with standard PEEK, the glass transition temperature of approximately 150°C should be considered during component design, as physical properties may shift beyond this point.

Enhanced Rigidity

30% glass fibre reinforcement increases stiffness and load-bearing capacity compared to unfilled PEEK.

Excellent Dimensional Stability

Reduced creep and thermal expansion for components that must hold tight tolerances over time.

Electrical Insulation

Retains strong dielectric properties, unlike carbon-fibre-reinforced grades.

High Continuous Operating Temperature

Reliable performance up to 250°C, with the same broad chemical resistance as standard PEEK.

Available Product Forms

PEEK GF30 is available in standard sheet and round bar formats, cut-to-size and as CNC-machined finished parts.

Sheets

Standard sheet formats in natural (whitish) colour, available across a range of thicknesses.

Round Bars

Solid bars available across a standard diameter range in 1000 mm and 3000 mm lengths.

Cut-to-Size

Custom cut to your exact dimensions from standard sheet or bar stock.

Finished Parts

CNC-machined structural and insulating components manufactured to your technical drawings and tolerance requirements.

Typical Applications

PEEK GF30 is selected wherever high stiffness must be combined with electrical insulation, elevated temperature resistance or dimensional stability under sustained load.

Electrical & Insulating Components

Structural insulating parts, carrier plates and housings requiring both mechanical rigidity and dielectric strength.

Precision Engineering & Fixtures

Machined components and fixtures that must hold tight tolerances under mechanical load and thermal cycling.

Semiconductor & Electronics Manufacturing

Structural and functional parts in wafer handling and process equipment requiring rigidity, purity and chemical resistance.

Structural Load-Bearing Parts

Components where increased stiffness and reduced creep are required without sacrificing electrical insulation.
