PA6C is produced by casting, not extrusion. This fundamental difference results in larger achievable cross-sections, more homogeneous material properties and lower internal stress compared to extruded grades. Cast PA6C can be produced in significantly larger diameters and thicknesses — round bars up to 2,100 mm diameter, sheets up to 500 mm thickness.
The casting process also allows properties to be modified through targeted additives — for improved tribological performance, thermal stability, self-lubrication or impact resistance — without compromising the base mechanical strength that makes PA6C the standard material for mechanical engineering wear parts worldwide.
PA6C is used for pulleys, bearings, rope sheaves, gear wheels, sliding elements, guides, bushings and structural parts in plant and mechanical engineering. It has very good antifriction properties and good resistance to gamma and X-rays.

Standard application area for PA6C. Used for various types of pulleys, rope sheaves and chain guides in crane construction and conveyor technology.
Plain bearings, flanged bushings and slide bushings replacing metal. Suitable for dry-running and light-lubrication conditions.
Gear wheels, toothed wheels and sprocket wheels in mechanical engineering and conveyor technology. PA6C High Impact for demanding impact loads.
Slide rails, curve guides, wear strips and guide elements in all areas of mechanical engineering and plant construction.
Track rollers, wear pads, conveyor components and contact parts where abrasion resistance and long service life are required.
PA6C Natural (Ivory) is available in FDA-compliant grades for direct food contact. Suitable for components in food processing and packaging lines.
