PEEK-ELS EC is a carbon-nanotube-modified grade of PEEK (Polyetheretherketone), engineered to deliver constant, controlled electrical conductivity within the 10⁴ to 10⁶ ohm range. The CNT (carbon nanotube) technology used to achieve this conductivity produces a highly uniform and stable resistivity, with minimal deviation from the mechanical, thermal and chemical properties of standard PEEK.
This makes PEEK ELS EC well suited to applications where electrostatic discharge (ESD) must be controlled without introducing the particle generation or property inconsistency associated with some carbon-fibre-filled conductive plastics. It retains PEEK’s continuous operating temperature of up to 250°C and resistance to acids, bases, hydrolysis and steam.
PEEK ELS EC is used in semiconductor systems, wafer handling equipment, clean room components and precision engineering applications where ESD safe, chemically resistant and dimensionally stable materials are required.
Note: As with standard PEEK, the glass transition temperature of approximately 150°C should be considered during component design, as physical properties may shift beyond this point.
