PPSU is an amorphous high-performance thermoplastic that occupies a distinct position in the high-performance plastics range. Where PEEK delivers the highest temperature resistance and chemical performance, and PEI excels in dielectric applications, PPSU is engineered for applications that demand repeated steam sterilization, superior toughness and biocompatibility.
As an amorphous thermoplastic, PPSU provides excellent hydrolysis resistance, stable dimensions and consistent performance in both wet and high-humidity environments. Its superior impact strength sets it apart from other high-performance plastics in the same temperature range, making it suitable for components subject to mechanical shock, drops or handling in clinical and industrial environments.
PPSU is available in two grades. The general grade covers industrial applications including plumbing components, aerospace parts, food and beverage processing equipment and membrane housings for water filtration.

Both general grade and medical grade available in 1250x620 mm format. General grade in thicknesses 10 to 55 mm. Medical grade in thicknesses 3 to 55 mm, including thinner sheet formats for medical component production.

PPSU MG is applied in endoscopic instrument components and housings where biocompatibility, chemical resistance to cleaning agents and sterilization resistance are simultaneously required.
General grade PPSU is used for plumbing fittings, valve components and fluid handling parts where hot water resistance, hydrolysis resistance and dimensional stability over long service life are required.
Applied in aerospace interior and structural components where high thermal stability, low flammability and toughness under mechanical stress are required within weight constraints.
Used for membrane housings, filter housings and water treatment components where resistance to aggressive cleaning chemicals, hot water and steam is required for long service intervals.
