PA6.6 is produced by polycondensation and belongs to the polyamide family alongside PA6 and cast PA6C. Compared to PA6, PA6.6 offers a slightly higher surface hardness and rigidity, reduced moisture absorption and improved wear and heat resistance. These properties make it the preferred polyamide grade for applications that demand dimensional stability at elevated temperatures and consistent mechanical performance across a wide operating range.
PA6.6 maintains its strength and hardness exceptionally well across a wide temperature range, including at elevated operating temperatures where standard PA6 begins to lose stiffness. Combined with its good weldability and self-adhesive properties, it is used in mechanical engineering, aircraft construction, the electrical appliance industry, the automobile industry and equipment manufacturing.
For applications requiring even greater rigidity and dimensional stability, PA6.6 GF30 is available. The 30% glass fibre reinforcement significantly increases rigidity and heat resistance while reducing moisture absorption further. PA6.6 GF30 is supplied in black in sheets and round bars.
Exceptionally high strength and hardness maintained across a wide range of operating temperatures
Higher heat resistance than PA6, suitable for applications at elevated operating temperatures
Suitable for wear parts and sliding components subject to sustained friction and abrasion
Low coefficient of friction for bearing and sliding applications in mechanical engineering
Consistent material homogeneity results in reliable CNC turning, milling and drilling performance
Suitable for welded assemblies and bonded constructions in structural applications
High-Performance Engineering Plastics

PA6.6 standard grade in diameters from 6 to 250 mm in 3000 mm lengths. PA6.6 GF30 in diameters from 10 to 200 mm in 3000 mm lengths.
Custom cut to your exact dimensions from standard sheet or bar stock in both grades.
CNC-machined parts to your technical drawings in standard PA6.6 or PA6.6 GF30, depending on your mechanical and thermal requirements.
Structural and wear components in plant and mechanical engineering where high strength, hardness and dimensional stability across temperature ranges are required. Used for housings, guides, sliding elements and precision machined parts.
PA6.6's high strength-to-weight ratio, rigidity and heat resistance make it suitable for interior structural components, brackets and mechanical parts in aircraft and aerospace assemblies.
Applied in electrical housings, connectors, insulating components and structural parts where dimensional stability, heat resistance and reliable mechanical performance are required under sustained operating conditions.
Used for under-bonnet and structural components in vehicle construction where elevated operating temperatures and sustained mechanical load require a polyamide with higher heat resistance than standard PA6.
Covers a broad range of machined components, wear parts and structural elements in industrial equipment manufacturing where consistent mechanical properties and good machinability are required across production runs.
For applications demanding even greater stiffness and thermal stability, PA6.6 GF30 delivers significantly increased rigidity and dimensional stability through 30% glass fibre reinforcement, supplied in black in sheets and round bars.
